I've been an EU spouse for 23 years, with postings in Ethiopia, Namibia, Palestine and Lebanon. I have been a committed member of EUDPN/EUFASA since 2004. Despite many obstacles, I have always managed to find a job during my postings. My focus is therefore on improving the overall employment situation of delegation partners and boosting their employability.

I have been an EU spouse for 31 years, and advocating for spouses almost as long. After seven delegations we are back in Brussels, and I look forward to continuing my cooperation with EUDPN. My key priorities are to improve the general well-being of posted families, especially safety in the countries of posting and in their homes. It has been very rewarding to work with EUDPN.

I am from Latvia, currently posted in Guinea Bissau. Previously, I was a Member State diplomat for 25 years, posted in Stockholm, Lisbon, Rome and New Delhi. I've been a devoted member of our Latvian Family Association since its foundation - my area of expertise is social security for diplomatic spouses. I joined the EUDPN Team because I believe that together we can raise awareness and make a difference.

I am an Australian/Albanian engineer/builder professional as well as tech-savy. My first delegation has brought me to Bejing, China, where I am very active within the spouses & partners community. I co-founded the EU Diplomatic Spouses Circle and contribute regularly to EUDPN's branding and marketing efforts.
